Dr. Manjunath NK has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of SVYASA Deemed to be University, marking a momentous occasion in the institution’s history. Taking up his position on February 3rd, 2024, Dr. Manjunath NK is set to lead the university with his outstanding qualifications and unwavering dedication to research and education. Under his guidance, SVYASA is expected to reach new levels of academic excellence.
A Journey of Inspiration and Achievement in Higher Education
Dr. Manjunath’s educational journey has been truly inspiring. He has achieved remarkable academic milestones throughout his career. In 1994, he completed his Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (B.N.Y.S) from the esteemed S.D.M. College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, South India, Mangalore University. Later, in 2006, he earned his Ph.D. in Yoga and Geriatric Medicine from SVYASA Deemed to be University. His dedication to education didn’t stop there. In 2018, he obtained a DSc. in Yoga from the same university.

In addition to his remarkable career achievements, he also holds esteemed positions such as Vice President of AYPTA, Singapore, Member of Board of Directors, VAYU, California, USA, Co-founder of Vivekananda Health Global. Additionally, he is a Member of Taskforce – SATYAM, Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Standing Finance Committee, CCRYN, Ministry of AYUSH, AYUSH division, Bureau of Indian Standards, Scientific Advisory Committee, CCRYN, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Director, Research Committee, Indian Yoga Association, New Delhi, India, Editor – International Journal of Yoga, Indexed in Pubmed, Published by Wolters Kluwer Health & Medknow Publications. Additionally, he serves as a visiting professor at several esteemed institutions such as Toyo University in Tsuragashima, Tokyo, Japan, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai, China, and the University of Parma in Italy, where he is associated with the Italian Yoga Federation. Furthermore, he is actively engaged with The India-China Yoga College at Yunnan Minzu University in Kunming, China.
