Srimad-Bhagavad Gita

ŚrimadBhagavad Gītā is an integral part of the Hindu epic Śrimanmahābhārata. Arjuna was confused of his dharma, and displayed weakness of mind in the Kurukṣetra battlefield. ŚriKṛṣṇa taught him the Science of Self-knowledge called the Bhagavad Gītā; the Bhagavad Gītā is a unique text of 700 verses in a dialog form between ŚriKṛṣṇa and Arjuna – Kṛṣṇa responding to Arjuna’s questions. The Bhagavad Gītā is the Mokṣa Śāstra – the Science of Liberation.
This course is a narrative of the essence of the teachings of ŚriKṛṣṇa, with about 70-80 verses. The
teaching is based on the commentary of Sri Shankaracharya. The course covers –

Dr. Ramakrishna is a retired engineering professional. Over the last four decades, he has studied the Hindu scriptures and Hindu Philosophy. Dr. Ramakrishna has taught classes on Bhagavad Gītā, Rāmāyaṇa, Bhāgavata and Advaita texts. Dr. Ramakrishna founded the Non- profit organization, Sanātana Dharma Pratiṣṭhāna, organized under the US IRS Code 501 (c) (3). The activities of the organization are described at their website sanatanadharmausa.org Dr. has Ramakrishna transcribed and translated in to English the Kannada commentary on Rāmanāma Saṅkirtan by Sri Swami Harshananda ji, of Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Bengaluru. This English translation is published by the Advaita Ashrama as a three-volume book under the title Nāma Rāmāyaṇa Mahimā.
